I am a businessman, board professional, advisor and communicator based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

My professional background spans management, corporate communication, investor relations, board work and business development. Over the years, I have worked with listed companies, growth companies, entrepreneurs, owners, boards and management teams in different stages of development and change.

Much of my work takes place close to decision-making. I support companies and organisations with structure, communication, governance, development and execution, often in situations where several disciplines meet.

Alongside my professional work, I have a strong interest in business, history, international affairs, books, design, travel, cities and European culture.

That mix is also reflected on this website.

Joakimdahl.com is a personal platform where I write about business and working life, but also about the people, places, ideas and experiences that interest me. Some posts are directly related to my professional work. Others come from travel, books, culture, food, history, design or everyday observations.

I believe curiosity is useful in business. Good ideas often come from looking beyond your own industry, meeting people with different perspectives and paying attention to how companies, institutions and places develop over time.
