Backgammon after a session with a board

Backgammon after a session with a board

Time for some after-board meeting sessions. On our way to the Club Room at the Royal Automobile Club in London. Hosting an afternoon with newspapers, some tea and backgammon with the board of directors.

The Royal Automobile Club is a British private social and athletic club. It has two clubhouses. The one in London at 89 Pall Mall includes 108 bedrooms, seven banqueting rooms, three restaurants, a business centre, a full-size marble swimming pool, squash courts, a billiards room and Turkish baths.

To be like Hemingway

To be like Hemingway

Save it for Friday night
With me, you said
We're the Queen and King of cocktails

Yeah, and I say good evening; now it’s time for a Papa Doble (Hemingway Special)
Then I made it fast with grapefruit juice, rum, lime juice and maraschino liqueur and served

And you told me
We're the Queen and King of cocktails
What do you say?
We're the Queen and King of cocktails
Just for a Friday night
And we kissed

”You need to wear some glasses Like D.M.C.”

”You need to wear some glasses Like D.M.C.”

I need to get a new perspective on my assignments.

I am going for eyewear from Cazal today. It's a vintage, extravagant and undisputedly iconic model - 607. Designed in the early 1980s by Cari Zalloni, it impacted the American Hip Hop industry. Run DMC's Darryl McDaniels made the massive oversized acetate frames hugely successful in lyrics like: ”You need to wear some glasses Like D.M.C.”

Lunch with MLK

Lunch with MLK

Working in the cloud means you get virtual lunch companions. Today I was joined by MLK, and Martin delivered his iconic 1967 speech - Blueprint for Life. It is, in my opinion, one of his more multifaceted speeches, with a depth filled with new perspectives every time I listen to it.
Your heart is in every line, and you still open our minds.

When I now finish my lunch to go ahead with preparing the implementation of board work in a listed company, I will go with the below. See you again tomorrow at lunch, Martin.

“Be a bush if you can’t be a tree. If you can’t be a highway, be a trail! If you can’t be the Sun, be a star. For it isn’t by size that you win or you fail. Be the best of whatever you are.”
