When Saturday comes, after the gym,
I visit the library.

I walk through the rows of books, exploring without a plan, never knowing what I will discover in the books of the day.

Today, three different worlds caught my attention.
A sharp historical analysis of the Northern Ireland conflict in Who Was Responsible for the Troubles?
An adventurous journey into ancient history in The Mystery of the Great Pyramid.
And a broader global perspective in Understanding Contemporary Africa.

Entering a new phase — open for next assignments

I am now entering a new phase in my operative work and am available for new assignments.

My existing board assignments in listed and owner-led companies continue unchanged. Alongside these roles, I have for several years worked through my own company in management- and communication-focused assignments, typically in companies undergoing transition.

I continue to run my business as usual, while remaining open for larger or more comprehensive assignments as they arise.

Where Wine, Symbols, and Civilization Meet

As I was about to open a Spätburgunder from Wiesbaden, my attention was unexpectedly drawn to the fleur-de-lis on the bottle cap.

The fleur-de-lis has long stood as a symbol of European civilization: freedom of conscience, freedom of speech, equality before the law, and democracy shaped by responsibility.

At the same moment, another voice entered my thoughts, that of Martin Luther King Jr. In one of his reflections, he imagines being summoned before the Almighty and offered a remarkable choice: to visit any civilization in history. He mentally travels through ancient empires, Greece with its intellect, Rome with its power, and the Renaissance with its brilliance, the very framework of the civilization we know today.

After this reflection, the wine, through its fleur-de-lis symbol, set the theme of the evening: civilization and our shared heritage.
