And I suppose you are just as fascinated by table runners as I am
A day in the countryside, travelling between lakes and old churches on my way to Ekelund Linneväveri in Horred.
And I suppose you are just as fascinated by table runners as I am. Or perhaps not.
Ekelund has a weaving tradition dating back to 1692, producing textiles in Horred, Sweden. A place where centuries of craftsmanship meet contemporary Scandinavian design.
And then there is Stig Lindberg, one of Sweden’s most influential designers of the twentieth century. Known for his work with Gustavsberg, he brought his distinctive, playful illustrations and patterns to porcelain, textiles and everyday objects.
With such a large selection, I started narrowing it down to just three, looking for the right colours and patterns for table settings and arrangements during the coming festive season.
And finally, there it was. Stig Lindberg’s famous fish motif, this time in autumn colours.
Now my fish dinners can be served with a little touch of autumn, bringing together Swedish design, craftsmanship and the colours of the season.
