On my way to a Burns supper, a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns.
It’s almost a tradition nowadays to start the season of social or business networking with a Burns dinner.
According to the dress code, I wear my Scottish tartan tie with a particular connection to Erskine, a clan of the Scottish Lowlands.

Today I am a primrose. The “favourite flower” of Benjamin Disraeli, and so became associated with him.
